Press Release Summary = The essential oils used in aromatherapy have the potential to kill bacteria, such as Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and E.Coli.
Press Release Body = Tests have been carried out to study the anti-bacterial properties of the different aromatherapy oils. The results of the test revealed that two (out of the 40 oils testes) essential oils can kill these bacteria instantly. One-third of the oils tested kill MRSA and E.Coli over a longer period of time. Essential oils used in aromatherapy are made up of a complex mixture of chemical compounds that have the capability of killing MRSA and other superbug bacteria.
MRSA bacteria are often found in the nostrils. Use of disinfectants to get rid of MRSA is quite an unpleasant experience for the patients.
Aromatherapy oils provide pleasant inhalation therapies that are very effective in killing the bacteria. In fact, these oils are likely to have a much higher success rate than the current treatment.
